HOW TO PURCHASE FIREARMS ONLINE


1. Find the gun you want: 
2.  Choose your FFL dealer (Federal Firearms License):

K and R Gun Works, LLC, sells firearms, ammunition, and custom firearms only in accordance with Federal, State, and Local firearm laws.  However, purchasing a gun online is really, very easy.

To Purchase Firearms Online: 

  • You must be 18 or older to purchase long guns and 21 or older to purchase handguns. 

  • You are responsible for compliance to your local and state laws.

  • Ammunition and firearms must ship separately. 

  • You pay us directly for the firearm. 

  • Once you have completed your firearm purchase, we will send an order confirmation e-mail and/or text.  If you do not receive an email or text within two business days, please call us at (870) 280-8452. 

Find a local FFL that will accept the transfer of your firearm.  We cannot ship a gun directly to you.  This can be your local Gun Shop, Pawn Shop, Gun Range, or any other location that holds a current FFL.

Contact your FFL and tell them you would like to transfer a firearm from K and R gun Works, LLC.  Be sure to ask about their FFL transfer fee, commonly around $25 but varies by dealer.

This transaction is solely between you and your selected FFL holder. 

Please inform us of your chosen FFL, and make sure you include your last name and order number on all correspondence.

3. Pick up your firearm from your chosen FFL.

Important

  • Inspect your gun before accepting the transfer.  If you find any defects leave the gun at the dealer and alert us right away. 

  • Once you accept the transfer, the gun status becomes “USED” and must be returned directly to the manufacturer for warranty repair or replacement.


HOW TO PURCHASE AMMUNITION ONLINE: 


Federal law requires that you must be at least 18 years old to purchase shotgun and rifle ammunition and 21 years or older to purchase handgun ammo.


Ammunition and firearms must ship separately. 

All ammunition will ship via FedEx or UPS ground

No sales outside the U.S

Ammunition shipped by air requires Hazardous Material (HazMat) classification and additional fees will apply.

Ammunition shipments to Alaska and Hawaii must be by air.

ALL SALES FINAL ON AMMO ORDERS: Cancellations and Returns are NOT Allowed.

Always make sure you use the correct ammunition for your specific firearm.

Ammunition Restrictions by State: Please check your local laws for restrictions before ordering ammunition.


Alaska:No ammunition or primer shipments.

California:Ammunition shipments must go to one of the following:

- A licensed ammunition vendor with a copy of their license on file

- A Federally licensed dealer (FFL) with a copy of their license on file

- A type 03 FFL (C&R) with a certificate of eligibility (COE) and both licenses on file

- A gun range that will keep the ammunition on their premises

- A law enforcement agency with written authorization from the head of the agency stating that the ammunition is for official use

* Blank ammunition is excluded and may ship direct *

Connecticut:We must have a copy of your Eligibility Certificate or Permit and valid photo ID on file.  Military, law enforcement agencies, and FFL holders are exempt from these requirements.

Hawaii: No ammunition or primer shipments.

Illinois:We must have a copy of your Firearm Owner’s Identification card (FOID) or valid concealed carry license and State ID (DL or ID) on file.  We can only ship to an address on either of those 2 documents.

Massachusetts:No Ammunition

New Jersey: Firearm Purchaser Identification card (FPID) card or "NJ Permit to Purchase a Handgun" must be on file.

New York:Ammo shipments must go to an FFL dealer or registered Seller of Ammunition.  A copy of the FFL / SoA must be on file.


Washington D.C.:We must have a copy of a valid Firearms Registration Certificate (FRC) on fine.  No .50 BMG caliber ammo.  No armor-piercing ammo. Ammunition components such as cases, primers, powder, and bullets are considered "ammunition" in Washington D.C.

Air Gun Restrictions: Please check your local laws for restrictions before ordering air guns.


California:  No Airsoft guns unless they follow CA SB199 requirements.

Illinois: Effective July 13, 2012: There is no velocity limit on air guns below .18 caliber, and air guns are no longer considered firearms by the state.  Air guns over .18 caliber must still have a velocity of less than 700 fps.

New Jersey: Pellet guns & BB guns (air guns are considered firearms per NJ state law: Title 2C:39-1).  Residents can buy them from us through a designated local gun store after acquiring the appropriate firearm permit.  Follow the guidelines for firearm purchases above. 

Washington D.C.: No Air Guns, Airsoft guns, or BB guns.

Blackpowder Firearms Restrictions:  Please check your local laws for restrictions before ordering blackpowder firearms.


Because black powder firearms are considered antique firearms, the possession of a black powder firearm by a person subject to federal firearms disabilities is not prohibited by the GCA.  However, a person subject to federal firearms disabilities may not receive and/or possess black powder firearms that can be readily converted to fire fixed ammunition by replacing the barrel, bolt, breechblock, or any combination thereof that are classified as "firearms." Additionally, state law may prohibit the possession of a black powder firearm by persons who are not federally prohibited from possessing them.  Please contact your state's Attorney General’s Office for information regarding black powder firearms.

Magazine Capacity Restrictions by State:  Please check your local laws for restrictions before ordering accessories.


California:No magazines over 10 rounds.

Colorado:No shotgun magazines over 8 rounds. 

No other magazines over 15 rounds.

Connecticut:No magazines over 10 rounds.

Washington D.C.: No magazines over 10 rounds.

Hawaii:No magazines over 10 rounds that may fit a pistol.

Illinois:

Aurora, IL: No magazines over 15 rounds (Rifle Only)

Chicago, IL:  No magazines over 12 rounds (Rifle or shotgun Only) 

Franklin Park, IL:No magazines over 16 rounds (Rifle Only) 

Oak Park, IL: No magazines over 10 rounds (Rifle Only)

Riverdale, IL:  No magazines over 35 rounds (Rifle Only)

Maryland:No magazines over 10 rounds.

Massachusetts:No magazines over 10 rounds.

New Jersey:No magazines over 10 rounds.

No magazines over 6 rounds for semi-automatic shotgun.

New York:No magazines over 10 rounds.

Vermont: No magazines over 10 rounds for long guns.

No magazines over 15 rounds for handguns.


Exceptions: If you are exempt from any of these restrictions, please note this in the order notes section and we will send the mags to your FFL transfer dealer.  Please make sure you have discussed this with your FFL dealer before placing the order.
